Non-Toxic Detergents that are safe for baby and family
My first, Abby has eczema. And the second thing my pedritican recommended to lessen the severity of this skin condition was to choose a natural and hypoallergenic detergent. Apparently laundry detergents can leave a residue and not wash off completely. This means that your skin can absorb it and get into you and your babys’ system. Abby was extremely sensitive to the scented, non-plant based detergents that we were using at the time. I have to say that I’m strangely attracted to the faint smell of fresh laundry so when I was trying out the different types of plant-based detergents, it wasn’t the same. Then I learned that the inhalation of the detergents could also be harmful and cause headaches. That quickly made me a convert to organic, natural, non-toxic detergents!
